Open Badge application form - Maintaining your ongoing learning and development Open Badges are digital certificates recognising learning and achievement and we’re using them to help you recognise your learning, skills, attributes and experience. If you can demonstrate that you’ve learned from materials produced by the SSSC then you can earn an Open Badge. This Open Badge is available to anybody working in social services who has used our Maintaining your ongoing learning and development app. To obtain the badge, you need to provide some evidence of what you have learned and how you used the app. The app will help you to take practical steps to maintain your ongoing learning and development and discover the skills and habits you need to experience learning as a lifelong and life-wide exercise. Criteria To earn this badge you will need to: work through the Maintaining your ongoing learning and development app tell us about how using the app helped develop your knowledge and understanding of the topic tell us how you have or intend to apply this knowledge in your day to day practice. Prerequisites – None. This badge does not require you to hold any other badges. Evidence You will need to provide a two written statements, of about 100 words, on how using the app helped develop your learning and how you have or intend to put your learning into practice. You can provide your statements on the badge application form below or provide a link to your own blog/portfolio. If you want to use a blog or ePortfolio entry as evidence, you might find our guide to preparing and publishing your evidence useful. Select YES on the question “Have you completed our offline form?” You will be shown an upload box. Click browse and select this file from your computer. You should then complete the rest of the online form and click the button to submit your application. Once your application is submitted You will receive confirmation that we have received your application by email within one hour.
