Environmental Policy Statement
South County Properties is committed to reducing its impact on the environment.
We will strive to improve our environmental performance and to initiate
additional projects and activities that will further reduce our impacts on the
environment.
Our commitment to the environment extends to our customers, our staff, and the
community in which we operate. We are committed to:
 Comply with all applicable environmental regulations;
 Prevent pollution whenever possible;
 Convert to compact fluorescent lights
 Recycle Paper, Cardboard, Batteries, Ink Cartridges, and Electronics
 Reduce fuel consumption. Use alternative vehicles. (motorcycle, bicycle).
 Communicate our environmental commitment and efforts to our customers,
staff, and our community

Environmental Restoration or Community Environmental Projects
The President of company is working as a Field Study volunteer for a Baltimore
Gas & Electric-Scenic Rivers Land Trust study to test low impact vegetation
control methods in BGE High Tension Power line areas.

Recycling
We recycle paper, cardboard, electronics, batteries, toner, and CFL light bulbs.
ENERGY
Energy Efficiency
We have converted to CFL light bulbs. Twelve 60-watt bulbs were replaced with
13 watt bulbs. Our estimated energy savings is 788kWh per year.
TRANSPORTATION
Fleet Vehicles
We saved 125 gallons of fuel annually by using a more fuel-efficient motorcycle
40% of the time.
