Alcatraz Tour Wear warm clothing and comfortable walking shoes, because we will be hiking up and down some steep rocky trails on the island. NOTE: You must pay for your tickets BEFORE the trip, unless you have made special arrangements to pay me the day of the trip. We will meet at Pier 33 I will be in front of Pier 33 with your tickets. You must have your tickets to board the boat. If you are late, I will leave your tickets at the pre-paid ticket window. If you are late, I cannot guarantee that you will be able to get on a boat. The boat boards and leaves promptly at the scheduled time. Once on the boat, we will meet up on the top deck for photos and to plan the tour. The tour itself will take about three hours. When we get back to shore, you are free to enjoy the rest of your afternoon in beautiful San Francisco! To get there: Take 280 North into San Francisco. Get off at King Street (the exit after 6th Street), and continue straight down King, past PacBell Park. King turns into Embarcadero. Follow Embarcadero along the waterfront to Pier 33. (Note: When you first get off at King, you pass PacBell Park, continue down the Embarcadero several miles to Pier 33, which will be on the right.) For map and more detailed instructions, go to the official Alcatraz website: www.alcatrazcruises.com Getting to Pier 33 is the easy part; the hard part is parking. I usually park across the street at the corner of Bay and Embarcadero – it isn’t cheap (usually $20 for the day) but it is easy. If you arrive early enough to search for a cheaper lot, be my guest, just don’t miss the boat! IMPORTANT!!! DO NOT BE LATE!! I WILL NOT MISS THE BOAT WAITING FOR YOU!! If you have purchased tickets, and find out you cannot make it, let me know immediately! I will have already paid for the tickets, and I cannot get your money back unless we can sell the tickets to someone. Home: 408-779-4229/Car: 408-710-8519
