Dear Scholarship Candidate,
The Goizueta Foundation and Wesleyan College are pleased to invite you to apply for one of two
scholarships that provide assistance to women of Hispanic/Latina American descent who are
pursuing their first undergraduate degree and demonstrate need of financial assistance.
The yearly scholarship, funded by an endowment from The Goizueta Foundation, is renewable
annually and may be awarded to several admitted students. To be considered for this
scholarship, students must submit a scholarship application by the February 15th deadline. In
order to submit an application, the student must:




Be admitted as a first-year or transfer student for Fall 2015
Be of Hispanic/Latina American descent
Reside in the United States
Complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or other
financial aid assessment form.
Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:





Completed Roberto C. Goizueta Memorial Scholarship application packet and
supporting documents.
High school program of study and GPA from official high school transcript
SAT or ACT scores
Involvement in leadership and extracurricular activities*
Financial need as determined by Wesleyan College
*Please note that this information will be obtained from the Wesleyan College applications for
admission and financial.
The Scholarships are renewable for up to four years (three or less if the student enters Wesleyan
College as a transfer). Goizueta Scholars must maintain a semester course load of at least 12
hours, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75 and must complete a FAFSA form
annually to prove financial need.
