The degree structure of a student's degree programme is used as the basis of this study plan. The PSP helps students stay on schedule and advance in their studies. The plan must be updated as their studies progress. see also: http://www.oulu.fi/english/studying/supporting-your-studies/personal-study-plan-psp The PSP is a tool for the student to be able to plan and define the contents of his / her degree. The PSP of the architect’s degree is to be made based on the structure of the study programme of the year of enrolment of the student. The extent of the architect’s degree is 120 credits, including a minimum of 30 credits of advanced courses (S) and the diploma thesis work of 30 cr. Before applying for the approval of the subject of one’s diploma thesis project, the student’s personal study plan has to be approved by the Department of Architecture. If the student has followed the original study programme requirements, the official approval is not needed. In case the student has not followed the original original study programme requirements, the personal study plan has to be made using the template and following these instructions, under the supervision of the study advisor of the Department of Architecture. Once the PSP has been approved by the study advisor, the final version of the study plan has to be signed by the student and submitted to the office of the Department of Architecture together with the PSP application form. http://www.oulu.fi/architecture/node/5921 The PSP includes the study units which the student has completed so far and will complete before graduation. All studies have to be marked inside the modules. A list of excluded compulsory courses has to be written in the PSP. The architect’s degree may also include optional language studies (i.e. Finnish language).
