Course Summary:
Dental implants have now become an accepted treatment option for many patients. Current patients are becoming
more educated and asking intelligent questions about their treatment options including use of dental implants. Our
patients are also consumers! In today’s market place it takes a tribal “Entire Team” approach to create value &
inspire your customers to become interested in what implant dentistry can do for them.
As a general dentist, you can no longer afford not to educate yourself and incorporate dental implants as one of the
treatment options for tooth replacement therapy. This course will focus on consequences for tooth loss, rationale
for dental implant therapy, patient and case selection criteria, overview of treatment planning protocol from
implant surgery to prosthetics and the team approach for comprehensive care for the implant patient. Legal issues
specifically related to dental implant treatment will be discussed, including relevant legal liabilities and
problems practicing dentists face as well as strategies to deal with and avoid such problems. Valuable risk
management advice will also be provided.
Implementation of implant therapy into general dental practice can be a stress free, profitable and rewarding
experience provided that you follow parameters given at this course. Otherwise learning by trial and error can be
stressful, litigious and costly in many ways.
