(It is expected that a comment will be provided for each question on a separate sheet).
QUESTION 1
(a)
General comment on the performance of learners in the specific question. Was the question well answered or
poorly answered?
All the questions in Question 1 were generally well attempted. Question 1.5 was generally poorly answered. In
general candidates did well in this section. The questions were well structured and the marks accumulated by the
candidates in this section were somewhat a good indication of how they were likely to perform in the rest of the paper.
Teachers could emphasise that candidates must not leave blank spaces. Some candidates gave more than one
possible answer for the MCQ. Could it be possible to do away with the loose answer sheets?
(b)
Why was the question poorly answered? Also provide specific examples, indicate common errors committed by
learners in this question, and any misconceptions.
Candidates need to do the Forms of ownership more. They really struggled with all the forms of ownership.
( c) Provide suggestions for improvement in relation to Teaching and Learning
Teachers who are marking this syllabus and those who had an experience of teaching this syllabus should be
approached to teach the Adult learners. I think that with tuition by an experienced educator, these candidates should
stand a better chance.

(d)
Describe any other specific observations relating to responses of learners
Some learners write in general terms as if they were not even exposed to a textbook. Others seem not to even have
done the subject at school. The paper was fair for a person who was exposed to the learning material and a relevant
tutor or educator. Some candidates exceeded the number of questions to be answered.
