Glenda Anelle Edwards, 74, passed from this life
Sunday, June 14, 2015. She was born February
7, 1941 in Duncan, Oklahoma to John and Leah
(Carpenter) Magers. Glenda graduated from
Capitol Hill High School in 1959, where she was a
Valedictorian. She went on to attend South OKC
Junior College, where she earned her Associate’s
Degree in Nursing, became a Registered Nurse in
1980, and later retired from St. Anthony Hospital.
During her life, Glenda was a longtime member of
St. Paul’s Cathedral in downtown OKC. She also
enjoyed volunteering, traveling, researching her
family genealogy, and spending time with her friends and her dogs.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to honor her
memory: children, Karyn Stephens and husband Scott, Kevin O’Donnell and wife
Lisa, Kathryn Powell and husband Jeff; 8 grandchildren; and brother, John
Magers and wife Ruth.
Visitation will be held 8:00am-8:00pm Wednesday, and 8:00am-2:00pm
Thursday. Funeral ceremony will be held 4:00pm Thursday at St. Paul’s
Cathedral, 127 NW 7th St, Oklahoma City 73102. In lieu of flowers, the family
requests donations be made to Episcopal Relief and Development, 815 S
Second Ave. New York, NY 10017. Arrangements have been entrusted to the
