Catherine Berkeley, daughter of Robert Berkeley of Spetchley and Lady
Mary Caroline Browne, on 9 May 1876. She died on 5 November 1877.
He then married Mary [nee Dease] 1880.
Charles William Francis Noel, 3rd Earl of Gainsborough gained the
rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 10th Hussars.4 He succeeded
to the title of 5th Baron Barham, of Barham Court and Teston, Kent
[U.K., 1805] on 13 August 1881.4 He succeeded to the title of 5th
Baronet Middleton, of Barham Court and Teston, Kent [G.B., 1781]
on 13 August 1881. He succeeded to the title of 3rd Earl of
Gainsborough, co. Lincoln [U.K., 1841] on 13 August 1881. He
succeeded to the title of 3rd Viscount Campden of Campden, co.
Gloucester [U.K., 1841] on 13 August 1881. He succeeded to the title
of 3rd Baron Noel of Ridlington, co. Rutland [U.K., 1841] on 13
August 1881. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for
Gloucestershire.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for
Worcestershire. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for
Rutland. He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Rutland .

Large flat square plot. Mary Elizabeth Dease was the daughter of
James Arthur Dease and Charlotte Jerningham. She married Charles
William Francis Noel, 3rd Earl of Gainsborough, son of Charles George
Noel, 2nd Earl of Gainsborough and Lady Ida Harriet Augusta Hay, on 2
February 1880. From 2 February 1880, her married name
became Noel. As a result of her marriage, Mary Elizabeth Dease
was styled as Countess of Gainsborough on 13 August 1881

Charles George Noel, 2nd Earl of Gainsborough was born on 5 September 1818. He was the son of Charles Noel, 1st Earl of Gainsborough and Elizabeth Grey. He
married Lady Ida Harriet Augusta Hay, daughter of William George Hay, 18th Earl of Erroll and Elizabeth Fitz-Clarence, on 1 November 1841. He died on 13 August
1881 at age 62.
Charles George Noel, 2nd Earl of Gainsborough held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Rutland between 1840 and 1841. He held the office of
High Sheriff of Rutland in 1848. He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland. He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Middleton, of Barham Court and Teston,
Kent [G.B., 1781] on 10 June 1866. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Campden of Campden, co. Gloucester [U.K., 1841] on 10 June 1866. He succeeded to the

The Chapel was built by C A Buckler for Charles George, Viscount Campden and his wife Lady Ida,
eldest daughter of the 18th Earl of Erroll [great-great-grandparents of the present Earl of
Gainsborough]. They were married 1st November 1841 and were received into the Catholic church
by His Holiness Pope Pious IX on 1st January 1850. The first stone was blessed by the Bishop of
Nottingham and laid by Viscount Campden 29th December 1857. The church was officially opened
7th July 1859 and completed around 1865.

Charles Noel, 1st Earl of Gainsborough was born on 2 October 1781. He was the son of Sir Gerard Noel Noel, 2nd Bt. and Diana Middleton, Baroness
Barham. He married, firstly, Elizabeth Welman, daughter of Thomas Welman, on 1 July 1809. He married, secondly, Elizabeth Grey, daughter of
Captain Hon. Sir George Grey, 1st Bt. and Mary Whitbread, on 13 May 1817. He married, thirdly, Arabella Hamlyn-Williams, daughter of Sir James
Hamlyn-Williams, 2nd Bt. and Diana Anne Whitaker, on 29 June 1820. He married, fourthly, Lady Frances Jocelyn, daughter of Robert Jocelyn, 3rd
Earl of Roden and Hon. Maria Frances Catherine Stapleton, on 25 July 1833. He died on 10 June 1866 at age 84.
Charles Noel, 1st Earl of Gainsborough was also known as Charles Edwardes. On 5 May 1798 his name was legally changed to Charles Noel by
Royal Licence. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Rutland between 1808 and 1814. He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron
Barham, of Barham Court and Teston, Kent [U.K., 1805] on 12 April 1823. He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Middleton, of Barham Court and
Teston, Kent [G.B., 1781] on 25 February 1838. He was created 1st Baron Noel of Ridlington, co. Rutland [U..K.] on 16 August 1841. He was created 1st
Earl of Gainsborough, co. Lincoln [U..K.] on 16 August 1841. He was created 1st Viscount Campden of Campden, co. Gloucester [U..K.] on 16 August
1841.
