Design and use printmaking techniques to construct a carrier bag appropriate for surf wear clothing
Research and generate ideas from NZ and Pasifika established practice which will be incorporated into the final original design

Participating and Contributing: Students will work in cooperative groups to undertake some technical processes and participate in a peer evaluation of the final art work. They will also collect information from the community to generate ideas before selecting their final design.
Resource sheets on NZ and Pasifika designs, brown construction paper , drawing materials, printing inks, watercolours, paint, cord/string, PVA.

Pasifika terms – tapa, siapo, plant names
Maori terms – kowhaiwhai, taniko
Typographical and design terms – font, logo, generate, refine, positive/negative lettering.
