The paper was intended as a think-piece on debt bondage and to ferment discussion on which of these situations may be considered as forced labour. Prepared a paper on the economics of prison labour that served to analyse the dynamics behind labour from incarceration. The paper focused particularly on the modern forms of prison labour in which prisons subcontract captive labour to private enterprises.
