• Extract Geodetic from internal and external sources to assist in Disaster Risk Reduction,
• Provide overall guidance and technical advice in carrying out GIS/Remote Sensing work,
• Produce all detailed maps for all disaster/hazards prone areas and update existing maps,
• Develop GIS based information support systems for DRR and preparedness, Establish and maintain n emergency Information
System for Rwanda
• Analyze and disseminate spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports,
Put in place a Spatial Data Infrastructure for Disaster Risk Reduction, Establish and maintain a web portal and database for
Disaster Risk Reduction, represent all disaster data in map (both digital and paper formats), Put in place spatial data exchange and dissemination for different
DRR users, Collection and collation of data from national and other publicly available data such as those from satellites sources
Master’s Degree in Geography, Geo
Information Sciences, Remote sensing,
Geometric and Surveying Engineering,
Geodetic Engineering, Spatial Data
Infrastructure studies, Earth Observation

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in
