Scope and Content
Dr. Jay Schufle, Professor Emeritus in Chemistry, spent most of his professional career at
New Mexico Highlands University. Upon his death, his family donated his personal and
professional papers to the university. This collection contains items related to his college
and military years as well as fifty years of personal correspondence, some of it with the
most eminent men and women in his field and in the philosophy of science. His
professional papers include research notebooks and class lecture notes.
