GRADING: Grades will be based on 3 short papers dealing with major issues in land use law: first amendment with emphasis on RLUIPA, fifth amendment with emphasis on eminent domain for economic development, and some issue relating to the current housing crisis. Each paper will be worth 30% of your grade. Class preparation and participation will count for the remaining 10%. Each assigmment will require the student to analyze fact situations and to identify and discuss the legal issues presented.
