JAMESTOWN RED RAIDER BASKETBALL “WALL OF FAME” *FOR INDUCTION TO THE J.H.S. BASKETBALL WALL OF FAME, RED RAIDERS MUST HAVE EITHER SCORED 1,000 CAREER POINTS OR BEEN NAMED TO ONE OF THE TOP 10 CLASS AA ALL-STATE TEAMS (TOP 50 PLAYERS IN N.Y.S.) Donn Johnston Donn played at J.H.S. from 1967-1969, leading the Red Raiders to the 1969 sectional championship. He was the first player to score 1000 points in his career, scoring 1,021 and was named 1st Team All-State. Donn also is #4 on the all-time rebounding list and still holds the single-season rebounding record with 359. He went on to play basketball at the University of North Carolina. Terry Chili Terry played at J.H.S. from 1970-72, leading the Red Raiders to the 1972 sectional championship and was named 1st Team All-State. Terry is #6 on the all-time rebounding list and has the 2nd most rebounds in a single season and 2nd highest single-season FG%, shooting 64% his senior season. Terry went on to play basketball at Duke University. Mark Edstrom Mark played at J.H.S. from 1969-72, and along with Terry Chili led the Red Raiders to the 1972 sectional championship. Mark scored 1,047 points in his career, which ranks #6 on the all-time list and is also 3rd on the all-time rebound list. He went on to play basketball at Alfred University. Mark Prechtl Mark played at J.H.S. in 1979-80 and was named 7th Team All-State in helping lead the Red Raiders to the 1980 sectional championship. He went on to play basketball at LeMoyne College. Tyrone Beaman Tyrone also played at J.H.S. in 1979-80 and was named 2nd Team All-State and WNY Player of the Year while leading J.H.S. to the 1980 sectional championship. He averaged 23 PPG and still holds the single season assist record. He went on to play basketball at the University of Tennessee. David Anderson David played at J.H.S. from 1983-1986 and was one of the most prolific scorers in J.H.S. history, averaging over 25 points per game during both his junior and senior seniors. His 1,172 points rank 3rd all-time. Justin Johnson Justin played at J.H.S. from 1990-1994. During his illustrious career, the smooth-shooting 6’8” Johnson scored 1,670 career points, which is #2 on the all-time list, and is the all-time career rebounding leader with an astounding 857. He was the first player in JHS to top 50 points in a single game and was named 3rd Team All-State, 1st Team All-WNY and went on to play at West Point. Maceo Wofford Coach Wofford played at J.H.S. from 1995-1999 and had arguably the most decorated career in J.H.S. history. He is #1 on the all-time scoring list with 2,259 points, #1 on the all-time assists list, #1 on the all-time steals list, and #2 on the all-time rebounding list. Maceo is the only Red Raider to average more than 30 PPG in a season. He was twice named 1st Team All-WNY, was named WNY Player of the Year and 3rd Team All-State in 1998 and 2nd Team All-State in 1999, leading the Red Raiders to the 1999 sectional championship. He along with Coach Billy Miley were members of Coach Drake’s first sectional championship team. Maceo went on to play at Iona College. Francisco Lantigua and Mike Maisto Fran and Mike played at J.H.S. together from 2003-2006. During their senior season the Red Raiders won the ECIC championship, the prestigious Elmira Holiday Tournament, and advanced to the sectional championship game. Fran was named 9th Team All-State in 2006. He was the Post-Journal Player of the Year and 1st Team ECIC Division 1. A multi-dimensional player, Fran is 17th on the all-time scoring list, 9th on the all-time assist list, 11th on the all-time rebounding list, and 17th on the all-time steals list. Fran went on to play at Alfred State College and Brockport. Mike was named the MVP at the JHS and Elmira tournaments his senior season and became just the 6th player in school history to score 1,000 points. A smooth shooting inside-outside threat, Mike is 6th on the all-time career 3-point list and 18th on the all-time rebounding list. He was a 1st Team ECIC Division I player 2 years in a row and went on to play at Daemen College. Dominque Kendrick Dominique played at J.H.S. from 2004-2007 and had one of the best single seasons in J.H.S. basketball history. Dom played with Lantigua and Maisto during his junior season and took the reigns the following year averaging the 5th best PPG total in J.H.S. history with a 25.4 average and was named 7th Team All-State, ECIC Player of the Year and Post-Journal Player of the Year while leading the Red Raiders to another divisional title. He still holds the single game 3-point record with 11 and the single season 3-point record with 110. Dominique went on to play at Nazareth College. Carlos Rivera Carlos played at J.H.S. from 2006-2010 and made an immediate impact despite his small stature. Carlos was named 7th Team All-State his senior season he led the Red Raiders to their 1st sectional championship since 1999 and became the 1st player since Wofford in ‘99 to be named 1st Team AllWNY. He was also named the Post-Journal Player of the Year. Carlos ranks 4th on the all-time list in points with 1,149, 1st in career 3-pointers, 4th in steals, and 6th in assists. Jaysean Paige Jaysean played at J.H.S. from 2009-2011. During the 2010-11 season he averaged 25.8 PPG leading the Red Raiders to their most successful season ever, advancing all the way to the state championship game in Glens Falls. During that magical season, Paige was named 3rd Team All-State and recorded over 50 dunks in a highlight-filled season. He was also named the WNY Player of the Year as well as PostJournal Player of the Year. Darin Butts Darin played at J.H.S. from 2007-2011. He will be know for his ability to fill the stat sheets as he impacted the game like few others who put on the Jamestown jersey. Butts was the playmaker of the state finalist team in 2011 and was named 1st Team All-WNY and 5th Team All-State for his efforts. In addition to defending the other teams best player during his career finished his career #2 on the all-time steals list, #3 on the all-time assist list, #10 on the all-time scoring list and owns 3 of the top 4 single season FG% records, shooting 65% for his career. Tommy Campion Tommy played at J.H.S. from 2009-2013. He was the starting PG his sophomore team for the 2011 squad that went to Glens Falls, then led the Red Raiders in scoring the past 2 seasons. During his four years as a Red Raider, J.H.S. won 3 sectional championships, the most successful run in school history. Tommy finished his career #5 on the all-time scoring list with 1,145 points and was twice named AllState. He was 7th Team All-State his junior year and 4th Team All-State last year as he averaged over 21 PPG. He is also #3 on the all-time 3-point list and #6 on the all-time steals list.
