WEATHER DISCUSSION FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY REGION
The current conditions over SFSU this morning are mostly clear with a few patchy high
clouds. Temperatures are mostly in the lower 40s away from the coast and in the upper 40s to mid
50s near the water. There are reports of strong NW winds offshore associated with a high pressure
system off the northern California coast. A storm system currently moving over Washington and
Oregon may drag an associated weak cold front past the area on Tuesday night, bringing a slight
chance of showers, especially in the North Bay. However, any precipitation that does fall will be
light. For the remainder of the week, a ridge of high pressure is expected to rebuild over the
Eastern Pacific, bringing warm, dry weather to the Bay Area with a chance of strong offshore
winds in the hills.
