An Educational Network
 Iowa State University Extension and
Outreach in Franklin County is a local
component of a statewide educational
network supported by USDA, ISU
Extension and Outreach, and our local
Franklin County government. Through
this partnership of federal, state and
local resources, ISU Extension and
Outreach
brings
knowledge and
resources to assist families, youth,
businesses, farms, professionals, and
communities in Iowa's 99 counties.
 Extension personnel help adapt new
technology and information to the needs
of our local communities. Extension
staff organizes and teaches conferences,
workshops, and short courses; develops
demonstration and research projects;
provides one-on-one counseling; and
advises organizations and businesses.
 Newspaper, radio, telephone, television,
& computer technology communication
systems are used to transfer knowledge
to the public. Numerous publications
are available at the Franklin County
