West of England Labrador Retriever Club Open Show 28th March 2009 It was a pleasure to judge my first Breed Show where I was hoping to find a number of short coupled, active dogs who not only possessed balance and type but also had that most important ‘kind and ever willing’ Labrador expression. As a whole, the breed is not one that is noted for particularly good movement, therefore the ability to move with drive and purpose and maybe also do a day’s work if requested, was a bonus. It was pleasing to find these attributes in my main winners. Thank you a quality entry and an enjoyable day.
