Collaboration
Type: Company Expertise
Title: Chemoinformatics, bioinformatics
Participation: Type A
Type Details: Our mission is to assist human experts in their effort to comprehend
the mechanism of action of ligand-receptor complexes and support them during the
process of lead optimization, specifically in deciding which compounds to select,
synthesize and test in later rounds of screening.
To fulfill its mission Noesis develops proprietary data analysis software that:
1. Extracts knowledge from chemical and biological data produced during the drug
discovery process with emphasis on the lead optimization phase;
2. Applies that knowledge to improve the design of downstream drug discovery
experiments;
3. Presents that knowledge in a format easily understood by human experts.
Noesis' software identifies the relationships between chemical structures and
multiple biological properties and formulates rules describing biological behavior. The
resulting knowledge is used to design molecular libraries and computationally
synthesize novel compounds that satisfy multiple biological, chemical as well as
other user-defined constraints while covering the biological/pharmacological space of
interest.
The core information technology is developed by combining knowledge extraction
and optimization (mono and multi-objective) algorithms with traditional statistical
methods and analytical techniques. Among others, Noesis employs chemical
substructure mining and scaffold extraction, experimental design and multi-objective
optimization techniques to fulfill its objectives.
Noesis' methodology produces screening collections with compounds (real or virtual)
of improved pharmacological profile (lead-like) and thus, increases the chance of
resulting hits surviving further preclinical development.

Target Partner
Expertise:
We are looking for partners that produce small molecule biological data and wish to
analyze their data to extract valuable knowledge that will guide their efforts for lead
optimization and design. This type of partners may come from the life sciences
industry as well as the cosmetics filed, the household chemicals industry, etc.
We are also looking for partners involved with the toxicology field to provide us with
data and expertise required for building computational models for toxicology
prediction.
A third category of potential partners is research organizations and software
companies involved with chemo/bio-informatics. We are open to collaborations with
this category of partners that will lead to the development of novel algorithms useful
in the quest for discovery of knowledge in chemical and biological data.
