Establishment of ALI online courses/program for pre-arrival English language
support for incoming matriculated international students and international students
participating in USC’s online and distance master’s programs (“USCNow”).

Created 1 unit versions of ALI “core” courses so that master’s students with
remaining ALI course requirements could complete those requirements while
remaining in compliance with the university’s newly implemented English language
policies in which master’s students could not be required to personally pay for more
than 4 units of English language support courses.

Created and facilitated faculty applied research teams (e.g. testing, writing,
international teaching assistant (ITA)) aimed at curricular and faculty
development.

Spearheaded and oversaw revision of ALI departmental curricula and course
sequencing so as to allow more individualized placement of international students
needing supplemental English language support for academic and professional
success.
