RESOLUTION NO. 179
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COAST LIFE
SUPPORT DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the twenty-year tenure of Nick Scanlon-Hill in service to his community has positively
influenced hundreds of lives through delivery of skilled paramedic care and instruction;
WHEREAS, under the leadership of Nick Scanlon-Hill as District Administrator, the Coast Life
Support District has grown into the premier emergency medical response service in the State of
California, with an expanded scope of practice unmatched in the professional community;
WHEREAS, the citizens of the Coast Life Support District have enjoyed the benefits of Nick’s
dedication to assuring the highest quality of emergency medical response through his personal
instruction of scores of Emergency Medical Technicians and First Responders;
WHEREAS, the many elected and appointed members of the Board of Directors of the Coast Life
Support District have benefited from Nick’s sage counsel and advice in steering this organization
to its goal of providing high quality emergency medical service to the community;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
That the Board of Directors of the Coast Life Support District of the State of California hereby
recognizes and honors Nick Scanlon-Hill for his many years of service to his profession and to
his community, and expresses their deepest appreciation for his dedication and commitment to
the citizens of the District upon the occasion of his well-deserved retirement on the 29th day of
June in the year 2008.
The above resolution was introduced by Director Schwartz, who moved for its adoption,
seconded by Director Scaramella, and passed and adopted on this 29th day of July, 2008.
WHEREUPON, the President declared the foregoing resolution adopted, and SO ORDERED.
