Due to increase in day temperature animals should not be allowed for grazing during hot part of the day, provide cool drinking water and shade to the animals to reduce heat stress. 4. During day time farmers are advised to sprinkle water to high yielding dairy cows 2 or 3 time to reduce heat stress. 5. High yielding cows should be fed with good quality concentrate and roughage by incorporating leguminous fodder/hay. 6. Feeders should be raised in poultry shed between 10 am to 5 pm to avoid heat stroke. 7. In poultry shed water tank and water lines may be covered with gunny bags to provide cool drinking water during hot part of the day.
