Works in Progress
Exploration of social-emotional experiences before and after bariatric surgery: Fulfilled
expectations?
A qualitative research project that explores the experiences of individuals after having
bariatric surgery, and exploring the question of whether or the surgery has been able to control
emotional eating. Emotional and cultural barriers to normative eating are identified and
discussed.
Experiences and Perceptions of Graduate Students of Color in a Counselor Education Program
Status: Conducting data analysis.
This research uses a phenomenological approach to elicit the experiences of students of color
