A copy of the Mare’s registration papers is due with this contract, and please include a picture of
your mare.
1. This mare is booked by name and the booking is valid to this mare only. Neither booking or the
return privilege can be transferred without written permission from the stallion owner.
2. The Mare’s health condition is the responsibility of the Purchaser. The Purchaser will ensure
that the mare is in sound breeding condition. We recommend that purchaser’s vet examine and
assess your mare’s breeding soundness, and your mare should have a negative uterine culture
prior to breeding. We expect you to follow your veterinarian’s recommendation.
3. We recommend that the purchaser/mare owner’s vaccinate the mare for Rhinopeumonitis
(Equine Herpes Type 1) at 5, 7, and 9 months of pregnancy, the purchaser shall also ensure that
the mare be kept in proper condition, and be kept up to date on all worming and all other
vaccinations.
4. We strongly recommend that the above named mare be checked for pregnancy and ultra
sounded by a veterinarian 14-18 days post breeding. The mare should be re-checked between 2835 days for pregnancy. The purchaser (Mare owner) must inform Royal Equus Farm of the above
named mare’s pregnancy status by day 60.
5. The semen will be shipped fresh cooled in a shipping Box. (There will be a $30 charge for
the disposable box for each additional shipment. If you prefer to ship it back, we will not
charge you the $30. Charge in the next shipment.
7. If the mare owner would prefer the semen to be shipped in the Equitainer, send a $400.00
deposit. The Equitainer should be insured. The Equitainer must be returned within 4 days or a
$40.00 per day late fee will be charged, this will be deducted from the container deposit. DO
NOT use ground transport to return container. Royal Equus Farm is NOT responsible for
shipping delays and mistakes. Any missing container parts will be deducted from deposit and a
lost container will be charged to the Purchaser for the amount of replacement.
8. Shipping cost via Federal Express will be charged to the Purchaser. A Federal Express account
should be provided to cover these costs. We also prefer a Federal Express number as it enables us
to book online and e-mail you the tracking number. If you do not have a fed Ex # The shipping
fees will be deducted you’re your shipping deposit.

9. Semen is planned to be collected Monday- Wed - Friday as possible, March 20 - Aug 1. If the
Purchaser requires semen before or after our normal season, please contact Royal Equus Farm.
Weekend collections may be possible but at added cost to the mare owner. Please note that
Federal Express does not do pick-ups on Saturdays or Sunday. We will try to accommodate mare
owners whenever possible. So these shipments would have to be counter to counter (if possible),
charged COD plus a $100.00 courier fee to the airport.
10. The Purchaser must contact Royal Equus Farm by 8:00 PM CST the day before to guarantee
shipment. Same day service will not be guaranteed, but we will try to accommodate the mare
owner whenever possible. The Purchaser should keep Royal Equus Farm informed of the heat
cycle of their mare, this will help Royal Equus Farm ensure that we have semen and also
containers available for your mare when needed. Semen shipments will be placed in the order that
they were received, we will try to accommodate all semen requests. It may be possible during
peak breeding season that we are not able to fill late orders.
11. Purchaser understands that the stallion may be competing away from the farm during the
breeding season and will not always be available for collection. It is the Purchaser’s responsibility
to contact the farm for dates the stallion will be available for collection. Royal Equus Farm will
make every attempt to publish the schedules to the Purchasers well in advance.
12. Royal Equus Farm agrees to provide fresh cooled semen in viable condition from the above
named stallion at the time of delivery to the Purchaser, Purchaser’s veterinarian or veterinary
clinic. Stallion owner is not responsible for any semen shipments that are lost, delayed, or
damaged during transport. A licensed veterinarian must inseminate mare on the day that the
semen is delivered.
13. The Purchaser assumes all responsibility for the condition of the mare and shall bear all risk
of loss or damage to the mare what ever by death, disease, injury, infection or otherwise, and by
any cause whatever, including inappropriate, untimely, or negligent insemination or failure of
insemination and therefore releases, discharges, indemnifies and holds harmless Royal Equus
Farm and its owners, employees and agents from any and all damages associated therewith.
14. The Purchaser agrees that no embryo transplants from the above named mare using semen
from a Royal Equus Farm stallion are to be done without the prior written permission of Royal
Equus Farm.
15. If the mare fails to conceive during the 2013 season the Purchaser is entitled to a return
breeding the following year 2014. Please inform Royal Equus Farm by no later than October 15,
2013 as to whether or not your mare is in foal or not. A vet certificate is required. This report
must be sent to Royal Equus Farm, so that the Live Foal Guarantee and return breeding will be
honored. It will be the Purchaser’s responsibility to pay the booking fee, new seasons collection,
transportation and deposit fees. (This is a 2 year contract only 2013-2014)
16. Live Foal Guarantee: (An IGG is required from your vet around 12 hours after birth to assure
the foal has received enough colostrum. 24 hours is too late!!)If the foal dies due to not knowing
the IGG Levels. The LFG will be null and void. If the mare, after being checked in foal, aborts or
does not produce a foal that can stand and nurse on its own, the Purchaser is entitled to a return
breeding in the following year 2014. It will be the Purchaser’s responsibility to pay the booking
fee, collection, transportation and deposit fees. A veterinary certificate is required within five (5)
days from the date of death and/or examine. Otherwise the LFG is Null and void.
17. It is agreed that should the stallion die or be unable to produce viable semen, Royal Equus
Farm will substitute frozen semen from the above named stallion or fresh semen from another
Royal Equus Farm stallion. Maximum time limit on this contract is three (2) years.
18. No paper work shall be issued to the Purchaser unless all fees have been paid.
19. Interest will be charged at a rate of 1.9% per month on all balances owed after 30 days.
20. This contract shall not be transferred.
