There will be several changes to CWS/CMS the specifics of which are outlined below with links to training materials. Client Index Number Field Training Materials A new Client Index Number (CIN) field has been added to the ID page of the Client notebook. The CIN is ten digits and comprised of both numbers and letters. The CIN uniquely identifies a client and is generated by the State’s MEDS application. CINs will be input by SAAMS clerks in their process of clearing a client once the Leader Replacement System (LRS) is implemented in 2016. Change to Adoption Forms Training Materials The AD 90 and AD 551A are now two separate forms. The two forms are available under the Print Report functionality. The combined version of the forms has been deactivated. Changes Related to Service Provider Notebook Training Materials 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Users now have the ability to add/edit/delete multiple addresses for a single Service Provider. An address row is now required for each Service Provider. CWS/CMS now allows for Service Provider searches using additional address information. Users now have the ability to end date a Service Provider address. Labels will display in the Service Provider notebook to encourage a search be performed prior to creating a new Service Provider. 6. Online Merge reports will display all addresses that are assigned to a Service Provider record. 7. Online Merge reports will display a Service Provider Last Edit Date. Updated Search Tool The primary search tool used in CWS/CMS has been updated to the latest version. Note the following differences in the new version: 1. To prevent exceeding the maximum number of records retrieved (for Client or Client/SCP Phonetic Search Only) search results with a First or Last Name of ‘unknown’ or ‘doe’ will not be displayed unless the search criteria specifically contained the value of ‘unknown’ or ‘doe’. 2. When a Phonetic Name or Phonetic Street Name Search is selected, asterisks are ignored. If you have any questions regarding this release please e-mail your question to: Policy@dcfs.lacounty.gov |
