Summer Trash Extra Pick-ups -- The Summer Schedule includes an additional trash collection on
THURSDAY. In 2012, the Summer Schedule Extra Trash collections will run from Memorial Day through
Labor Day.
**Bulk Trash Collection day is the third Thursday of the month. Bulk Trash consists of large items that
normally would not be picked up by the regular trash contractor. Bulk Trash collection is limited to three
items per pick-up per household. Items in excess of three items are charged at $150 per item. Payment
must be made in advance. All bulk trash must be scheduled for pickup through the Town Hall by calling
(410) 257-2230 or (301) 855-8398. You will be scheduled for the next pick-up for Bayview Hills.
Items that will not be picked up for Bulk Trash Collection:
 Anything that was not included in your request to Town Hall.
 Hazardous Materials, Paint, Oil, Tires and Batteries
 Gas Motors or Farm Equipment
 Pianos, Pool Tables, and Assembled Play Equipment
 Heat Pumps
 Carpeting
 Grass and Yard Debris. (See Yard Debris Pickup Information.)
 Construction Debris (drywall, wood, flooring, tile, etc.)
 When renovating, remodeling or emptying a house, you must call a trash contractor to have a
dumpster placed on your property.
If there are items you wish to dispose of, but do not meet The Town of Chesapeake Beach Bulk Trash
Collection Policies, you must call the Calvert County Landfill at (410) 326-0210 so that they may assist you in
your disposal needs.
The Town reserves the right not to pick-up an item if it determined the Town cannot or should not dispose of
the item. If there are any questions, please contact the Town Hall for assistance.
***Yard Debris Pickup Information
Grass clippings and leaves should be bagged and placed curbside. The Yard Debris Pick-up Schedule changed
on October 17, 2011: Yard debris is now picked up the same day as trash pick-up year round. Place your
bagged grass clippings and leaves curbside next to your trash cans for pick-up (i.e., Mondays; and Mondays
and Thursdays during Summer Pick-Up Schedule).
