Nomination forms for all three are at mopress.com/current_forms.php. Or contact the MPA office and ask that a form be emailed or faxed to you: (573) 449-4167, kford@socket.net. Nominations must be in by April 30. _______________________________________________ -- Official state website 'defaced' The state Office of Administration reported that on Feb. 16 the official website for the State of Missouri -- Mo.Gov -- was defaced by the insertion of graphic war scenes. Due to stringent security protocols in place, immediate action was taken and the defacement was removed, the office reported. As an additional precaution, Mo.Gov was taken offline at 10 a.m. and brought back online at 10:37 a.m. While the official website was defaced, neither the state nor its data were accessed and the network remained secure, according to the report. Without putting too fine a point on it, public notices should not be consigned to a medium that can be hacked, manipulated and "defaced" by the mischievous and malcontented. _______________________________________________ -- NNA Capitol Hill program on March 8 WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Newspaper Association's Government Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C., has been renamed the We Believe in Newspapers Conference.
