 SCOMSA Budget Concerns:
o Collaborations with the alumni association and other schools to be discussed,
particularly for BBQs.
o Changes to Reimbursement Form and Funding Policies (Treasurer Brandi Castro):
all receipts must be itemized, no splitting bills will be allowed, groups must ask for
funding in advance.
o New details for student group funding to be finalized by the Budget Subcommittee
 SCOMSA Constitution Update
o To be completed soon, as the current constitution is outdated from 1972
 New Student Group Requests
o BU Global Health and AIDS Coalition: Not approved at this time – Group needs to
first speak with International Health Group, Project Trust
o BUDS (Boston University Down Syndrome) Program: Not approved at this time –
Group sounds very similar to PAIRS and does not appear to be within the scope of
what SCOMSA funds
o Hispanics and Blacks for Change (HB4C): Not approved at this time – Mission seems
to be already covered by SNMA
o BUSM-Run Community Health Clinic: Not approved at this time – It is our
understanding that the group is already under AMSA
