Congratulations to Alex & Michelle (L.) M. (Red Family) who
were united in marriage this past week.

PRAYER CONCERNS ~ listed with Fellowship Family Group
Dave DG (Maroon Family) is undergoing physical therapy in
preparation for upcoming surgery to repair an ACL knee muscle torn
off of the bone. He is also having back issues. He is scheduled for
surgery on his knee for June 7.
Linda H (Yellow Family) underwent recent outpatient foot surgery
and is recuperating at home.
Alice M (Yellow Family) is scheduled for angioplasty on Wednesday
to remove a blockage and insert a stint. She is resting at their home in
Florida prior to the surgery.
Micah R (Purple Family) is scheduled for his final chemotherapy
treatment on Tuesday.
Annette T (Green Family) was unable to undergo her hip
replacement surgery due to a low potassium count. She expects to
have the operation sometime this week.
John D. VK (Purple Family) continues with physical, occupational
and speech therapy as well as electric stimulus therapy on his left arm
at the KV Health Center. Good progress is being made.
Ryan W. 19 year old grandson of Ed N., (Orange Family) had
successful surgery Wednesday to have his leg amputated below the
knee, due to a rare blood vessel disease called Parkes Weber
Syndrome. The surgery took place at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
The family is thankful for all your prayers.
Kristen & Brody B. (granddaughter of Caryl DB – yellow family)
had their twin babies on Monday in Lafayette. Parker Nellyn was 5
lbs. 7 oz. and doing well. Tycen Robert was 5 lbs. and had surgery on
Tuesday at St. Vincent Hospital for a minor complication. Both
babies were 19” in length.
Joan B. (Green Family) will celebrate her 83rd birthday on May
28. We wish you a happy birthday, Joan!
Congratulations to Kevin & Joni O. in the birth of a grandson,
Bryce Hurley R., born on May 21. Brittany and Bryce both are
doing well.
SYMPATHY
We extend our Christian sympathy to Robert & Lisa A. (Yellow
family) and family in the passing of Lisa’s father, Dennis M., on
Sunday morning. The funeral was held this past Friday.
Remember them in prayer and with a card in this sudden passing.
THANK YOU
The Deacons would like to thank all volunteers who helped with
replacing the shingles of a local home on Saturday. The project
was completed on Monday afternoon. The family is very
appreciative, what a great way to show Christ’s love to others!

NEW ADDRESS DIRECTORIES
The new directories were placed in your mailboxes last week. If
you did NOT get one, please notify the office for one. A great
deal of information is included in the directories such as Helping
Hands, Fellowship Family groups, Funeral guideline, 2013-2014
committees, etc.
CHURCH MAILBOXES
Please be sure you or your children are getting your mail from the
correct mailboxes. If you took the wrong one, please return it to
the correct slot as some are getting additional/duplicate mail put
into their boxes that does not belong to them. Your attention to
this is very much appreciated!
Also please check if church is reserved for private events before
picking up your mailbox items on Friday and Saturdays so you do not
disrupt their parties. There are many reservations on June weekends.
PRAYER GROUPS
Sunday Prayer Group meets on the 1st Sunday evening of the month
at 5:15PM.
Tuesday Prayer Group meets once a month. Join us on the 1st
Tuesday morning of each month at 8:00 AM. Join us in prayer at
your homes as we focus our prayers on these families the week of:
May 26: Wayne & Mary S., Laura & Ruth S.
June 2: Don & Marcia S., Mike S.
GRADUATE’S RECOGNITION & FELLOWSHIP TIME
Next Sunday, June 2, the graduate’s will be recognized. Cake &
coffee will be served after the morning service in the fellowship hall
in order to celebrate with them. Graduates are asked to meet in the
fellowship hall at 9:10AM for pictures. Please sign your name on the
Narthex bulletin board TODAYif you are graduating this year so we
don’t miss your name in next week’s bulletin!
CHURCH LIFE – GRADUATE’S ISSUE
If you are a graduate this year, please pick up a form in the Narthex to
fill out for the next issue, if you did not receive one in your mailbox.
If you need a copy emailed to the out-of-town graduate, notify the
office with the email. Also those that are making Profession of Faith,
Weddings, Engagements, are asked to fill out the form in their
mailboxes. Please return forms to the designated Church Life bags in
the narthex.
EVANGELISM COMMITTEE
Evangelism Committee meeting will be May 29 at 7:30PM.
FOUR SISTERS GUTSY CHALLENGE
Alecia, Emily, Kathryne P., and Jennifer K., daughters of Steve and
Phyllis P. request your prayers and support over the next few weeks.
We have committed to each run a half marathon and to raise funds to
benefit the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Please pray
for our safety, and that of our fellow runners, as we continue our
training and race in the AllState 13.1 in Chicago on June 8. Check

ATTENTION ALL FISHERMEN
The Calvinist Cadet Corps is hosting its eleventh annual fishing tournament
to raise funds to support its ministry – helping boys grow spiritually in all
areas of life. The fishing tournament will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013
at Gun Lake State Park in Southwest Michigan. For more information, call
the Corps office at 616-241-5616, ext. 4, or check out the Cadet website
under the “Events” tab. You can even register at our website:
www.CalvinistCadets.org. Registration forms are available from your Cadet
club’s head counselor. Lunch will be served at noon. Join us for a fun filled

SENIOR DAY LUNCHEON
The Town of DeMotte is scheduling our annual Senior Day Luncheon on
Wednesday, June 19, 2013. This event will be held at the Keener
Township Fire Department at 321 15th St. SE. The festivity starts at
10:30 AM. Tickets are on sale at the Town Hall, Monday – Friday 8:00
AM to 4:00 PM at $5.00 per person. Reservations are required as there is
limited seating. There will be bingo games and prizes, drawings and a
“goody bag” for everyone. Hope to see all the seniors there for a fun
day!
