Anne-Lise Høstmark Tarrou, dr. Past president of ATEE (1993-1995) Oslo 13.8.09 Support letter to Joana Salazar Having known professor Joana Salazar, the University of the Balearic Irelands, through her work in the last years ATEE conferences and from her participation in RCD chair meetings, I consider her candidature to the Administrative Council of ATEE to be of great value for the prosperity and the improvement of the functioning of the Association. Joana has in many situations shown herself as a very committed, competent and serious working colleague, having a great knowledge in, on and about Teacher Education in Europe. Her most important task as Co-chair of the ATEE Annual 2009 Conference in Mallorca, confirms this main impression. Joana’s solid linguistic capacities in the English language, in addition to her familiarity with the main Latin languages contributes also in an excellent way to facilitate the communication between the different cultural groups in the great family of European Teacher Education. Therefore it is a great pleasure for me to give my support to Joana Salazar’s candidature to the ATEE AC.
