EXTENT OF POTION 9 (A PORTION OF PORTION 5) OF THE FARM SMALKLOOF 122 REGISTRATION DIVISION
HS SITUATED APPROXIMATELY 2 KM OUTSIDE VOLKSRUST, MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Notice is herby given in terms of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations published in the Government
Notice No.R543 to R544 of 2010; in terms of section 24(5) of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No 107
of 1998) TOWB Trading CC ‘s intends to carry out the following listed activities:

Basic assessment and Environmental Management Programme for the Construction of a Truck Stop with
Fillings Station and ancillary uses known as Meerkat on Remaining Extent of Potion 9 (a portion of Portion 5) of
the Farm SMALKLOOF 122 registration Division HS Province Mpumalanga situated approximately 2 km outside
Volksrust


AVAILABILITY OF THE DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL BASIC ASSESSMENT REPORT AND ENVIRONMENTAL
MANAGEMNT PROGRAMME FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND COMMENTS
As part of the Environmental Impact Assessment Process, more specifically the public participation process for this
proposed project, the public is invited to review and comment on the Draft Basic Assessment (BA) Report and
Environmental Management Programme (EMPr).
The draft Basic Assessment Report will be available for review for a 40 day calendar period from the 17th May 2013 to
25th June 2013. Hard copies of the report will be made available on the Royal HaskoningDHV (RHDHV) web site

All interested and affected landowners are invited to attend a public meeting to be held at Volksrust Town Hall. The EIA
team will be available to discuss and answer any questions you may have regarding the environmental findings as
captured in the draft BA and EMPr. The date, time and venue for the meeting are as follows:
