Kirton Lindsey Primary School Where Young Minds Shine Core Story Books Where Young Minds Shine At Kirton Lindsey Primary School we will strive to read to the children regularly and share our staff’s passion for books and stories and provide the children’s with reading role models. Class teachers are required to read to their class for a minimum of 10 minutes three times a week. Across the school, a system of Core Story Books are used to ensure children hear a wide and varied range of texts from both established and new authors. Each year group have a selected bank of Core Story books chosen to ensure a rich reading experience from Foundation Stage to Year 6.
