THE WHITEHEAD ALMHOUSE TRUST TANWORTH IN ARDEN PARISH ASSEMBLY REPORT 9TH MAY 2012. As Clerk to the Whitehead Almshouses I have pleasure in giving a resume of the Trusts progress. . Since taking over as Clerk there has been various repair items requiring attention and it must be noted that the skills of the local trades persons called upon, have been invaluable in there input. There are also various ongoing maintenance works required during the coming year which the main items will be the normal every day to day works. The roof to the rear new flats is showing signs of the tiles beginning to shale due to the adjoining tree’s overhanging. Various external and internal works will be ongoing as it has been about twenty five years since the Almshouses to the front were extended and modernised, and the rear flats built including external landscaping. There were two vacant properties last year which have now been filled, so all the properties are at present occupied. L.J.Ridley Clerk To The Whitehead Almshouse Trust May 2013
