SOA was given to me by God after I was obedient to start the other conferences. God said, "you are working with the women, the prophetic, now I want you to partner with other Fathers of faith and help the men." I was shocked! I said, what? How do I do that? My natural mind battled with the idea for weeks because I couldn't understand why God wasn't giving this idea to a "man" but it kept ringing in my heart. No matter how long I tried to put the thought out of my mind, I couldn't shake the idea of Sons of Abraham.
So, I stepped out by faith and here we are. After all, He is God. He does what He wants and gives to whomever He wants. It is likes the scriptures says, He takes the foolish things to confound the wise. Did you know that faith knows no gender? That was the question proposed to me by God. He said, "faith only knows obedience." I will let that sink in for a moment. Trust me, I had never heard that statement before either. I would like to take the credit for it but I have to admit, it was a statement spokened to me by God. Again, He said, "faith only knows obedience Mary. Now, do what I say." Well, that did it for me!
SOA was designed by God to partner with the local church in teaching men how to live and walk by faith. Much of how we live today is not a life of faith but a life of carnality and human strength and abilities. God wants to raise up men and women who will follow him wholly (like their mother and father; Sarah and Abraham). SOA will teach men how not to be intimidated by a strong, submitted and Godly woman.
SOA will help men of God lay down their lives for their wives & family and love them as Christ loved and laid down his life for the church. We have too many women raising children by themselves. God wants to restore wholeness back to the home through our Fathers.
Abraham left Chaldea to follow the Living God but he didn't leave his wife behind. She followed too. Most of us know the story. They left to go to a place called Canaan, flowing with milk and honey. But the key was that he had to pass through the wilderness to get there.
How many men and women of God circumvent the life of the wilderness to get to the promises of
God? However, after they have arrived in the land, they have found out that there are giants in their promise land. Because they didn't allow God to fortify them in the wilderness, their lack of confidence, lack of preparedness and their lack of faith ultimately has kept them from dethroning the Giants/Enemy.
God's will is that our Fathers lead, protect, encourage, strengthened and cover us. They are to prepare us for battle, to possess the things of God and dispossess all that are an offense to the
Father. They are to help us individually, corporately and personally to get into our very own destiny. SOA will help, encourage and equip men to do just that and to enable them to be all that they can be in God.
What did Abraham do to seize the opportunity that was given to him by God and how did he possess the gates of his enemies? How do I confidently lead with out becoming manipulative and controlling? Where are the Fathers? How to run and follow hard after God and to not backslide in your heart? What did Abraham do to be called a friend of God?
