MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Thank you for your interest in joining the North Box Hill Tennis Club (affiliated with Tennis Victoria*).
The following notes will help you to determine if our Club meets your needs. Note that children 10 years and
under, who have a parent or older sibling who is a member, may have free membership until the age of 11.
Parents must accept responsibility for the welfare and behaviour of any child, including visitors, on Club
premises.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS and MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
The club has two membership categories:
 $180
Senior - includes full time students at Junior rates (over 17 and under 25, proof required)
 $132
Junior (under 18)
A family group of three or more fee paying members at one address (two parents and any number of
children, a single parent and two or more children, or junior siblings, not including children under 11 years)
may deduct 20% from the annual subscriptions.
Tennis Victoria defines a family as two adults and two or more children, as do many clubs. We consider our
family group discount to be more equitable. Family Group annual subscriptions are capped at $452.
A joining fee applies to each new member and each member is subject to *Tennis Victoria regulations.

Our Membership year is from 1st June to 31st May.
Pro rata rates apply to subscriptions, but not Joining Fees, if joining mid year.
Part year membership will only be considered under special circumstances e.g. overseas/interstate visitors.

A Club access card will be mailed (one per address) upon receipt of the correct fees.
The card is for the use of Club members only and must not be loaned to a non-member.
VISITOR FEES (contribute to court maintenance costs)
There is a $5 fee for senior visitors and $2.50 for juniors. Visitors are the responsibility of the Member, who
must ensure any fees are paid and that correct footwear is worn.
Fees due should be placed in the kitchen safe before the start of play.
To assist Tennis Victoria* in the provision of products and services, we need to collect personal information about you. When you provide personal
information to NBHTC you agree that this will be used by Tennis Victoria, Tennis Australia and other Australian Tennis Organisations under the terms of
this statement, and the tennis privacy policy located at www.tennis.com.au/privacy, which contains information about how you may access and seek
correction of your personal information or complain about a breach of your privacy, and how we will deal with that complaint. If you do not agree, you must
not provide your personal information, and you may be unable to access all of our products and services, such as Personal Injury Insurance. Tennis
Victoria, Tennis Australia and other Australian Tennis Organisations may disclose your personal information to other parties, including our related
companies, other Australian Tennis Organisations, and third parties who provide us services. From time to time, these third parties may be located (and
therefore your personal information may be disclosed) overseas, including to the USA and the Netherlands and as otherwise specified in the tennis privacy
policy. Tennis Victoria, Tennis Australia and other Australian Tennis Organisations may use and disclose your personal information for direct marketing
purposes regarding the products and services you are signing up to receive, unless you opt-out (which you can do at any time in accordance with the
tennis privacy policy by contacting Tennis Victoria).
NO SMOKING: As from 1st April, 2014, Victorian Legislation states that smoking bans will apply within 10 metres of
where children are playing in organised sport. NBHTC has declared that a total smoking ban will apply on Club premises
Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to noon during school terms.
