EXERCISE
You can use all of these adjectives with the verb "to be" (is, was) very easily:
It's freezing (water is turning to ice)!

The ocean is misty (from water vapors).
It's scorching (extremely hot)!
The air is muggy (hot wet air/humid) today.
The air is smoggy (polluted).
It's quite breezy (light wind) now.
The weather is turning mild (gentle).
The weather is getting rough (unpleasant).
