Detailed description
The detailed description should be 5000 to 10,000 words. This should cover the following points: objectives, main
frames of reference, methods, argumentation and findings; contribution of the study to the conservation and
enhancement of cultural heritage; impact on conservation policy and practice; historical, cultural, environmental,
education and/or social value; European added-value; specification of the study's tangible effects in the field of cultural
heritage.

Illustrations
The summary and the description should be illustrated with diagrams and photographs from the study or, if appropriate
from its tangible results. All illustrations should be clearly labelled and captioned.
Two (2) CD ROMs
The dossier in PDF format and the illustrations must also be sent on two (2) CD ROMs:
1 - CD ROM 1 is for quick reference by the jury. Photo files on this CD ROM should be in jpeg format only and not
exceed 150kB each.
2 - CD ROM 2 contains ready for print files for possible inclusion in the magazine that will be published on the occasion
of the European Heritage Awards Ceremony. Photo files on this CD ROM should be in high resolution (300dpi) and in
jpeg or tiff format only.
