E-waste is where people throw away electronics such as computers. E-waste is a serious cause around the
world and is a huge problem in the world. E waste mostly happens in many countries such as China, South
Africa, Asia, Hong Kong and United States and more. Many of the people that worked in the waste suffered
many diseases and some deaths as well. But the United States doesn’t realize that, that is happening to them
and the families. Also the United States is sending the E-waste without permission of China and affecting the
people and kids of the toxics that are in the materials because the government deports 80 – 50% of the
ewaste to places where it doesn’t by us. This makes their landfills fill up quicker and they have to make more
landfills. There are also people who take apart the electronics and try to get the little bits of gold that are in
the waste.
It’s not only the united states who are doing this. Many other countries are also but the thing is all these companies
who are sending this “e-waste” are doing it. Kids get sick because of it. E-waste is considered harmful. Its harmful to
us as people, the earth and our lands and other stuff, like the soil, air, water and land, etc. Most of the US and
Europe’s E Waste go to countries in complete other countries on the other side of the world.
We all know led is bad for everyone and also the radiation it will be worse for them because even for people that
don’t work in that when they put a lab top or phone or any devise the radiation is bad for them imagine the people
that work there. But Computers Contain valuable stuff like Gold and copper, etc. There are 260 million people that
have to work. They get sick and intoxicated by the chemicals and stuff. To stop E-waste you need to stop throwing
away you electronics and trying to repair them and saves people lives because you are not doing any good which
again can kill people. Stop killing people.
Toxics can kill you they are hazardous. The more you ewaste your electronics the more your toxic your environment
will be. The air is already polluted and the air that we breath is bad too. Heavy metals are toxic to us as humans.
Some hap hazardous things are for instance Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Polycyclic aromatic Hydro carbons,etc.. In
Computers, VCRs, stereos, cell phones and other handheld devices include gold, copper and lead that aren’t lethal.
So, Hong Kong wants the materials out, so they hire kids ages 15- and up. We as Americans throw away phones
containing over lots of millions and millions in gold and silver every year. They get one day off in a month and don’t
get paid on what they deserve. In this video I saw there was lots of ewaste piled up into the landfill where the
gangsters, government, etc. wanted it all.
While the EPA has created no regulations specific to e-waste, nor has it endorsed any one certification system, the
organization does officially regulate one electronic product for export so far—cathode ray tubes found in old
televisions and computers that contain lead in their glass. So in class in this video I saw it proved that CRTS had lots
of ewaste and they know what they are doing is illegal. E-waste can cause DNA damage; u can have led in your blood,
cardiovascular disease, inflammation, and cancer. All of these diseases can be inside a little boy just wanting to eat
up to a 20 year old guy just looking for money. Why don’t they take it serious dealing with e-waste? They should
stack it carefully instead of tossing it on top of each other letting poisons chemicals out into the air.
Chinese workers dies every five hours from poison or infection causing a bad vision to the U.S alone. Yes, it hurts the
people from Hong Kong, but also the animals. So, the only proper place to throw out E-waste is to a prison or
donating to the prisons. Because if you don’t your just killing people who don’t want to be killed.
We just need to do the 3 r’s. You can reuse by seeing if the company will take it and use it or send it to Japan where
there is no ewaste problem. They should stop sending it to places like china because it affects a lot of kids. Soon
enough our earth as we know it will be wasted along with the waste we cause because in developing countries E
waste is being sent to developing countries. If there saying there going to recycle then e waste should be recycled
because people give there electronics and computers to be recycled not to be sent off to other countries, like Hong
Kong and Africa. Future efforts to downsize illegal dumping will undoubtedly include a combination of aggressive
legislation, new technological solutions, and increased public awareness through more education on Electronic
Waste. Present laws should be analyzed and modified periodically to allow proper progression. Is it better to repair
and reuse the electronic and save money or kill people for no reason because you want to make money because its
cheap?
If e-waste continues to poison the environment and human, the future world of China, India, Pakistan and
Afghanistan would barely exist in future. If we reduce, recycle, and reuse the e-wastes. We won’t have too much
importable e-waste. If you do not do these things you will end up killing people for no reason. Only About 30 percent
of E-waste is recycled. Instead of replacing your stuff every five to six years like people did back then, sell it so you
can get stuff and not make a waste with e-waste because you want the new stuff because its cool. Because people
shouldn’t be e-wasting like that.
