Limb Removal and Drop Site UPDATE The City of El Reno has hired CERES Environmental Services to help with tree limb removal. CERES crews began working on Wednesday, January 6th with the goal of completing the first sweep of all four city districts by the end of January. Once the initial sweep is completed, a secondary sweep will be made with a tentative completion by the end of February. The City of El Reno has been approved and permitted by the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to burn the limb debris at the city owned site located at Foreman and Country Club Rd. The site is being manned by Ceres Environment Services who will be burning the debris around the clock to expedite the cleanup and removal process. Due to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) regulations for reimbursement, it has become necessary to open a second site up for citizens to drop off limbs related to the ice storms. For those El Reno citizens wanting to remove their property debris, the Free drop off site is located at 901 North Foster (commonly known as Waste Water Location) “and can be accessed from Highway 81 North (north side at base of overpass). After exiting the highway, turn into the red gate and then follow the road around to the debris site. The site will remain open until February 28th. All private paid Contractors are required to utilize the OEMA landfill located just north of Union City and will not be permitted to drop off at either El Reno location. The Foreman and Country Club location will be utilized as the drop/burn site for debris collected by CERES Environmental only. (405) 262-4070 • P.O. Drawer 700 • El Reno, Oklahoma 73036 As the City of El Reno and CERES Environmental Services are not legally able to go on private property to pick up limbs, we are continuing to ask that tree limbs be stacked no further than fifteen (15) feet from the curb side in manageable sizes. To help return our community to normal, PLEASE have all limbs at the curb as soon as possible so the debris can be picked up. ****All media inquiries can contact the Public Information Office at 405-295-9300 or ahernandez@cityofelreno.com.**** (405) 262-4070 • P.O.
