PRACTICE 1: Simple 2D Drawing
1. Set up drawing environment
1.1 Begin a New drawing. Select Start from scratch. Select the English default settings.
1.2 Units should be Decimal. Set the Precision to 0.000.
1.3 Set Limits in order to draw full size. Lower left corner 0,0 and the upper right at 24,18.
1.4 Zoom All
1.5 In Tool / Drawing Aids.... Set the GRID to 1 and set SNAP to ,125
2. Simple objects
2.1 Create four circles. All circles have a radius of 1.685. The Circle's centers are located at 5,5,
5,13, 19,5, and 19,13.
2.2 Draw four border lines. The Lines should be drawn on the outside of the Circles by using
Quadrant OSNAP mode as shown for each line end point
2.3 Draw two Lines from the Center of the existing circles to form two diagonals
2.4 At the Intersection of the diagonals create a Circle with a 3 unit radius.
2.5 Draw two Lines, each from the Intersection of the diagonals to the Midpoint of the vertical Lines
on each side.
2.6 Finally, construct four new Circles with a radius of .25 each at the Center of the existing ones.
