These are private roads, and only accessible by permit. Usually you can only travel these roads through the weekend when there are no logging trucks, and only during winter to alleviate any concern for forest fire. The views are spectacular. The roads are generally in excellent condition. Bryce the “gate keeper” has kindly offered to guide us through the maze of roads and give a talk on the scale of this operation. He has also arranged especially for us a visual of a logging skid in operation, something that is not open to the public. It is fascinating. Afterwards we travel to Tikokino for lunch in the Tavern and then return you to your homes. The cost of this trip includes pick ups and drop offs, coach travel, entrance fees, lunch. Full payment is required on the day of travel.
