CRITERIA
Scoring rubric for a scholarly paper assigned in the final semester includes the
following criteria:

 Critical Thinking Skills
 Content Development
STANDARD
On a possible score of 15 points on each the assessment criterion, students will
score at least 11 points on critical thinking skills and at least 11 points on content
development.
PROCEDURE
1) During a final semester course, a scoring rubric will be used to evaluate the
scholarly paper (100% of total papers).
2) Two external faculty evaluators will evaluate the scholarly paper.
3) The data will be aggregated to determine the percentile of the students who met
the standard.

Scoring rubric for a oral presentation includes the following criteria:
 Audiovisual/Technological Aids
STANDARD
On a possible score of 5 points on each assessment criterion, students will score at least 4 points on
audiovisual /technological aids.
PROCEDURE
1) During a final semester course, a scoring rubric will be used to evaluate an oral presentation using a
random sampling (100% of total presentations).
2) Two external faculty evaluators will evaluate the oral presentation.
3) The data will be aggregated to determine the percentile of the students who met the standard.
