PEDIATRIC NEUROLOGY RESIDENCY
In addition to daily teaching that occurs during the department's clinical activities,
residents are provided a high-quality, organized curriculum of "hot seat" case
conferences, lectures, and subspecialty conferences that provides a broad exposure to the
many facets of pediatric neurology.
Neuroradiology Conference - Current cases are presented at this conference attended by the
residents, ICU staff, child neurology attendings and the Chief of Neuroradiology, Dr. Paul Caruso
Tuesday mornings
Epilepsy Conference - Conference discusses patients being considered as surgical candidates.
Tuesdays at noon
Rosenberger Case Conference - Cases are presented from the ward or the clinic. Conference
is devoted to neuropathology once a month as well as M&M once a month. It is attended by
attendings and residents. Patients and their families are often asked to participate in person.
Tuesdays at 4:45p excluding July and August
Pediatric Brain Tumor Conference - Oncology cases are presented. Attended by pediatric
neurologists, pathologists, neuroncologists , neurosurgeons as well as representatives from the
Proton Beam Unit
Wednesdays at noon
Pediatric EEG Reading Conference - Interesting cases are presented with Dr. Kenneth
Sassower of the Sleep Disorders Lab.
Thursdays at 4p
Neuropathology Brain Cutting Conference : Conference is held weekly by the Neuropathology
Service with a pediatric case presentation monthly.
