the pen name of "Dry Bones". Dry Bones contributed to the Milton Democrat, a newspaper published in
Alpharetta. (March 4, 1890) Also there was a veteran of the Civil War who traded at the store and he had a
minnie ball just under the skin of his belly that he could roll around.

gone to High School in Roswell, Georgia. He taught school for a while at Summit which was a two room
school on the Mountain located on present day Brittle or Summit Road. He was a farmer, peddler and a
retail grocer, having businesses at several locations in Alpharetta and Roswell, Georgia He was a member
and a deacon of The First Baptist Church Of Alpharetta.
One of his story was that while teaching at Summitt, he was enjoying teaching but when one of the
school trustee taught him smoking with the "Boys" he was fired.
