Hello Everyone – At the recent AGM in
sunny Queensland, the Victorian breeders,
raffled a unique toilet seat. The timber
seat, custom made by Debs Dunnies of
Dromana, featured a hand painted comical
scene of Belted Galloways.
Many breeders were very keen to win the
Beltie seat, some going to extreme lengths
i.e. bribery and buying huge quantities of
tickets!!! Lots of fun was had over a toilet
seat, with the winner drawn by Stan
Robinson. The winning ticket belonging
to Scott Goninan of Kawana Park Stud in
Queensland. Needless to say Scott was
very happy to put his head in the hole for a
photo. Congratulations Scott and many
thanks to all those that purchased tickets. Money raised will be used to help set up the
Beltie Young group mentioned in this newsletter.
If anyone is interested there will be another toilet seat raffled at the Christmas party at the
Heazlewoods in Victoria Tickets will be sold at the Melbourne & Ballarat shows or by

ATTENTION ALL BELTIE YOUTH!!
HEY ALL YOU YOUNG FOLK OUT THERE, I’M LOOKING TO START UP A BELTIE
YOUTH GROUP AND I WOULD LIKE AS MANY PEOPLE INVOLVED AS I CAN. IF
YOUR UNDER THE AGE OF 25 AND HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH BREEDING
BELTIES OR YOU WANT TO GET STARTED, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
AT THIS YEARS AGM I BOUGHT UP THE ISSUE REGARDING THE LACK OF
YOUNG PEOPLE GETTING INVOLVED IN THE SOCIETY. SO AFTER MUCH
DELIBERATION FROM THE COMMITTIE MEMBERS, WE DECIDED IT WOULD BE
GOOD TO SEE IF WE COULD GET THE IDEA OFF THE GROUND. ALL I NEED NOW
IS FOR ALL OF THOSE INTERESTED TO CONTACT ME, AS I REALLY NEED TO
GET AN IDEA OF NUMBERS.
ONCE THE GROUP GETS UNDER WAY, I PLAN ON ORGANISING VARIOUS
ACTIVITY DAYS, WHERE WE CAN GET TOGETHER AND WORK ON SHOWING,
GROOMING, AND THE GENERAL HEALTH AND CARE OF BELTIES. I’M ALSO
LOOKING FOR A REPRESENTITIVE FROM EACH STATE TO HELP ME ORGANISE,
AND MAKE SURE THAT THIS YOUTH GROUP CAN REACH JUST ABOUT
EVERYONE IN THE COUNTRY. I WANT ALL OF THE BELTIE YOUTH TO BE ABLE
TO GET TOGETHER AND DISCUSS ISSUES THAT AFFECT US ALL.
