2015 RAMS BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP
You are invited to join the Kennard-Dale Boys Basketball Coaching Staff in a fun-filled and challenging week
of basketball instruction and competition at this year’s Rams Boys Basketball Camp. The camp is open to all
boys who will be entering grades 3 through 9 in the Fall of 2015 and who live in South Eastern School District.
No prior basketball experience is necessary and players of all skill levels are welcome!
A. DATES AND COST
June 15th-18th in the Kennard-Dale High School gymnasium (Monday thru Thursday)

This year will be run as it was last year with one session from 9-12.

Players will be split into two groups to keep everyone with their similar age groups and ability
levels (3-6th graders and 7-9th graders)

Cost is $65 per player (Made payable to KD Rams Sports Booster Club)
B. ABOUT THE CAMP
The camp is organized by Kennard-Dale boys basketball head coach Grant Leonard and his coaching staff. Daily
schedule includes giving individual attention to each camper in the following areas: dribbling, shooting,
rebounding, offensive and defensive skills and team play. Activities include stations, group instruction, team
games and individual and group contests. Contests will be scheduled in foul shooting, hot spots, knockout, and
one-on-one competition. There will also be team competitions in which everyone will play and a championship
round will be held on the final day.
All stations and drills will be run by KD coaches and experienced players—it offers a great chance to get one on
one time not only with coaches of various levels within the program, but also a way to interact with our older
players in the program who once participated in the RAMS Camp themselves.
C. AWARDS
Every camper receives a Rams Basketball camp T-shirt (if registered in time). In addition, individual contest and
team champions will receive awards. There will also be several daily awards given throughout the week.
Thursday is Championship Day when all team and individual champions are awarded. Parents are encouraged to
attend on Thursday.

An insurance verification form will need to be completed in order to participate (Available at
check-in and on KD’s basketball page available through the KD website: www.sesdweb.net)
To be guaranteed a t-shirt, registrations must be received by May 29th, 2015 (However, registrations
will be accepted up to the first day of camp)


Hello everyone,
I'd like to take this opportunity to personally invite all boys interested in attending this year's Rams Camp
to come join us at KD from Monday, June 15rd through June 18th. Again, I want to emphasize that campers DO
NOT need to have prior basketball experience to attend--we hope to use this as a chance for returning players in
the program to sharpen their skills and for anyone who is interested in playing a lot of basketball and practicing
and learning some fundamental skills in the process to have a chance to do so and have some fun this summer.
I genuinely look forward to the opportunity to continue working with kids who will potentially be part of
our program for years to come or kids who just want to come out and see if basketball is something they might
become more interested in with some exposure. I've been involved in both the program and the Rams Camp for
many years now, and am excited to continue building upon what we already have in place.
As we continue to build on our program and to increase interest and participation in our youth levels, I
strongly encourage you to get your children involved; not only is this a great way to get a week’s worth of hard,
physical activity, but it is also a chance to really refine and practice basic skills and get some face time with the
coaching staff and older players. Most of all, it is a FUN AND ACTIVE GROUP EXPERIENCE. Please get the
registration form on the bottom of this sheet ready to go as soon as possible--we look forward to working with
your child/children, and would love for them to attend camp while helping to support the KD basketball program.
Please keep in mind that, in order to start setting up camp activities and organize tee shirt and award orders, we
need to get these registration forms completed and returned by May 29th. We will accept registrations up until
the day of camp, but those with registration turned in by the date will be guaranteed a shirt. Thank you for
