RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Our current research interests are focusing on eight major areas: 1) develop mRNA
molecular markers for the detection of circulating tumor cells in various human
cancers; 2) genotyping of chronic disease associated genes; 3) development of
oligonucleotide chip and antibody chip for the diagnosis of colorectal cancer; 4)
Identification of novel genes involved in the carcinogenesis of various human cancers;
5) development of SNP chip and Chemo-Chip for personalized chemotherapy; 6)
integrated ologonucleotide chip for the early detection of human cancers; 7)
functional genomics analysis of human cancers; 8) Noninvasive imaging of gene
expression in living animals
In addition to our own independent research, we are also actively involving in
collaborative research projects. One is to cooperate with one Biotech Company at
United States to develop type II-diabetic natural medicine by dual approach of
functional genomic research and drug discovery. The other one is to collaborate with
one Biotech Company at Canada to develop healthy food from compound by
functional genomic research.
