Professor Christodoulos Stefanadis
Biography: Dr Christodoulos Stefanadis is the Head of the 1st Department of
Cardiology in Athens University Medical School. He qualified Athens University
Medical School in 1971, he received his PhD in Athens University in 1981 and
between 1985 and 1986 he was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of
Cardiology in Ohio State University-USA. He became Chief of Catheterization
Laboratory of Dept. of Cardiology, Athens Medical School in 1987 and a Professor of
Cardiology in 2002. Since 2003, he is the Director of the 1st Department of
Cardiology in Athens University, vice-President of Athens University Medical School
and visiting Professor in Ohio State University-U.S.A and Belgrade UniversitySerbia. He has published more than 400 full length papers.
Professor Rainer H. Böger
Biography: Prof. Rainer H. Böger was born on July 04, 1965. Studied Medicine at
Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany, 1984-1990, and he was a Doctoral
student at the Department of Anatomy, Hannover Medical School, 1986-1991. He
was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, Hannover
Medical School, 1990-1995, at the Clinic for Angiology, Hannover Medical School,
1994, and at the Falk Cardiovascular Research Center, Stanford University School of
Medicine, 1996. He was Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Clinical
Pharmacology, Hannover Medical School, 1997-2000, and Professor for Clinical
Pharmacology (tenured) and Head, Clinical Pharmacology Unit, Institute of
Experimenteal and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, University Medical
Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, 2000-current.
Assistant Professor Dimitris Tousoulis
Biography: Dr Dimitris Tousoulis qualified Athens University Medical School in
1985, and he was awarded his PhD in 1990, from the same University. He was a
Research Fellow in Hammersmith Hospital in London between 1993 and 1999, while
he was awarded a second PhD by the University of London in 1996. Since 2003 he is
an Assistant Professor in University of Athens. He participates in the Editorial Board
in several peer review journals and he has more than 300 presentations in
International meetings and has published 140 full length articles in peer review
journals.
Dr Charalambos Antoniades
Biography: Dr Charalambos Antoniades has qualified Athens University Medical
School in 2000. He was a Research Fellow in the 1st Department of Cardiology during
the years 2000-2004 and he received his PhD degree in Cardiology by the same
University in 2005. He has recently been awarded a Marie Curie Intra European
Fellowship, and now he is a post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of
Cardiovascular Medicine in the University of Oxford-UK. He is a reviewer in several
peer-review journals while he has more than 150 presentations in International
Meetings and 60 full length papers in international peer-review journals.
Dr Gerasimos Siasos
Biography: Dr Gerasimos Siasos has qualified Athens University Medical School in
2003. He had the first part of his clinical training in Internal Medicine between 20032005, and since 2005 he is a PhD student in the 1st Department of Cardiology Athens
University Medical School.
Dr Elli Stefanadi
Biography: Dr Elli Stefanadi has qualified Athens University Medical School in
2004. She had the first part of her clinical training in Pathology between 2004-2006,
and now she is a PhD student in the 1st Department of Cardiology, Athens University
Medical School.
