Principle Investigator - Avian and Amphibian Census and Survey Fieldwork (February 2001 - July 2003) and
in collaboration with Dr. Michael Baad two reports Associated with CalTrans Widening of State Route 25 North
of Hollister California (MOU 58; EA: 05-485400; Foundation account 504841).
Principle Investigator - Carmel River Mitigation Bank (January 2001 - January 2004). CalTrans has
established a mitigation site at the mouth of the Carmel River, Carmel Ca. This project requires the monitoring
of vegetation and vertebrate fauna associated with the site and the supervision of two graduate students and
several undergraduate technicians.
Project Manager - Fresno/Madera East/West Corridor CalTrans Project (CSUS, Foundation account 301199)
June 2000 to 2002. Designed sampling plans, conducted field surveys, directed field assistant and provided
reports regarding potential impacts to the bird community associated with three alternative construction routes.
Project Manager - Lake Britton Project (CSUS, Foundation account 301289; March 2000 to March 2002).
Designed field sampling plan, conducted field surveys, directed field assistants in assessing and reporting
potential impact to invertebrate and amphibian habitat for several CalTrans/USFS highway construction projects
in northern California.
