Program Selection Criteria
Selection will be based upon the following criteria:
1. GPA": A weighted GPA of 3.0 or above is STRONGLY recommended. A minimum of 2.75 is
required to apply to one of the five MIT programs.

2.Selection Activity
Applicants will be required to attend the Selection Activity day to be considered for an MIT
program. The activities will take no more than 3 hours, depending on how many applicants we have
for the year. You must fill out the MIT Application/RSVP and submit NO LATER than the
application due date. You will receive immediate confirmation that your Application/RSVP has
been processed.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING APPLICATION AND TRANSCRIPTS!!!!

APPLICATION TO OIT: Students must be admitted to OIT prior to applying to
the MIT program. OIT applications can be accessed online at the OIT website
(http://www.oit.edu) in the upper right corner of the webpage, click the box “I am a ….” and
choose the appropriate selection. You will then find the OIT application link.

APPLICATION TO THE MIT PROGRAM: Applications are available online
at the MIT Selection website. Applications are now submitted electronically.

BACKGROUND CHECKS: You do NOT need to complete this prior to
selection. Students are required to complete a background check UPON ACCEPTANCE INTO A
PROGRAM.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS (Transfer Students only): These are transcripts
your local college will send to our OIT Registrar’s office. These MUST be received by the time
you apply to the MIT Program. You will also need to send your updated Official Spring transcripts
to our Registrar’s office no later than July 4th, 2015. If transcripts are not received, you will no
longer be considered for the MIT program.

UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS (On Campus and Transfer Students): These
are your unofficial grades that you can print off the web. ALL students MUST bring their
unofficial grades to the Selection Activity day in June, or fax to 541-885-1320, or e-mail to
ronda.keating@oit.edu.
